FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OLDWICK - MARCH 15, 2017 02:34 PM (EDT)
A.M. Best has assigned a Financial Strength Rating of A- (Excellent) and a Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “a-” to 4 Ever Life International Limited (4ELI) (Hamilton, Bermuda). The outlook assigned these Credit Ratings (ratings) is stable.

4ELI was established on Nov. 2, 2016, in Bermuda. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of BCS Financial Corporation (BCSF). The initial purpose of 4ELI is to serve as the insurance carrier for certain international travel, short-term medical policies currently underwritten by 4 Ever Life Insurance Company, a wholly owned Illinois-domiciled subsidiary of BCSF that is a member of BCS Financial Group.

The ratings of 4ELI reflect its more-than-adequate risk-adjusted capitalization, history of favorable results for this block of business and its strategic importance to BCS Financial Group. The business written in 4ELI previously was written by 4 Ever Life Insurance Company and both companies share underwriting and administrative functions. Offsetting rating factors include the competitive market in which it operates in with other key international insurers already serving the same clientele through non-U.S. affiliates. Additionally, 4ELI has a reinsurance agreement for 100% of its premiums; however, this is mitigated by the fact that the business is ceded to an affiliated company.
