About Us
Jackson O'Keefe, LLP, was co-founded by a former Insurance Commissioner for the State of Connecticut and by one of Connecticut's preeminent tort litigators. Contact us for insurance defense, extra-contractual defense, and coverage litigation. The firm has been assisting the industry routinely since the 1950s on behalf of numerous insurers, including Travelers, The Hartford, Harleysville Insurance Company, GEICO and New London County Mutual Insurance Company, as well as TPAs and numerous self-insured entities. We take an aggressive stance, where appropriate, on litigation matters – promptly completing depositions, for example – to move a file more quickly towards closure. Likewise, with regard to written discovery, we take an active approach to make sure that responses are promptly provided by plaintiffs so that we are in a position to proceed with depositions and, again, move the file more quickly towards resolution. With regard to reporting, we have been working with insurance carriers and self-insureds since the 1950s, and are compliant with a wide variety of reporting requirements. We work diligently to make sure that your team has the information it needs in a timely fashion. We will work to assist you in better handling Connecticut claims, lowering indemnity and defense costs, and speeding up the claim resolution process.

The firm has received the highest Martindale-Hubbell peer-review rating of "AV." It is also recognized in the Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys. Additionally, several of our partners have been peer-reviewed by Thomson Reuters as "Super Lawyers," qualifying as among the top five percent of practicing attorneys in Connecticut. We are also active participants in Defense Research Institute (DRI) and the Claims and Litigation Management (CLM) Alliance, and employ defense best practices in our representation. We provide a cost-effective approach to claims, including a vigorous trial defense when needed. Our goal is to lower total costs, including indemnity and expenses. We also know that responsiveness is important, and are committed to exceeding your expectations with calls getting through quickly and prompt email responses.
