AM Best: Pandemic Drives Down US Health Earnings

U.S. health insurers reported $30 billion in earnings in 2021, said AM Best Director Doniella Pliss and Senior Financial Analyst Antonietta Iachetta. While positive, 2021 earnings were considerably lower than the performance reported in 2020.
