A.M. Best’s 2016 Insurance Market Briefing Europe to Take Place 16 November in London

A.M. Best will host its annual Insurance Marketing Briefing focusing on the state of the European (re)insurance sector and the London market on Wednesday, 16 November, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.(GMT), at ETC Venues St. Paul’s in London. The keynote speaker at this year’s event will be Andrew Kendrick, senior vice president, Chubb Group & regional president, Europe.

Leading A.M. Best rating analysts and industry experts will discuss ratings trends for (re)insurers in key segments of the European (re)insurance sector and London market. Session topics will include:

• EMEA Market Overview;


• The Value of Natural Catastrophe Schemes in Europe; and


• The Major Challenges Facing the Industry & the Potential Impact on Credit Quality.

The briefing will include a reinsurance panel featuring high-level representatives from the reinsurance sector who will discuss current industry trends, including the ongoing impact of alternative capital/ILS.

A.M. Best will host its annual Methodology Review Seminar in the afternoon of the same day, from 2:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. (GMT). The seminar will address changes to Best’s Credit Rating Methodology (BCRM), the new Universal Best’s Capital Adequacy Ratio (BCAR) and revisions to sector specific criteria.
