A.M. Best is a sponsor of the Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) Convergence, to be held November 9–10, 2016, at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess in Bermuda. Emmanuel Modu, managing director and global head of insurance-linked securities, will present the topic, titled, “A Framework for Fund Issuer Credit Ratings,” on Thursday, November 10, at 3:45 p.m. (AST). The session will address A.M. Best’s considerations in determining an Issuer Credit Rating (ICR) for funds, as well as fund-related insurance cells and debt obligations.
A Best’s ICR is an independent opinion of an entity’s ability to meet its ongoing financial obligations and can be issued on either a long- or short-term basis.
