A.M. Best financial analysts will speak at the LIC Preneed Forum, to take place November 3–4, 2016, at Troutman Sanders, Atlanta, GA. Kate Steffanelli, senior financial analyst, and Mike Adams, senior financial analyst – life/health, will present, “A.M. Best Update: Potential Impact of BCAR Formula Changes,” on November 3 at 11 a.m. (EDT).
Over the past year, A.M. Best has been working to update its Best’s Credit Rating Methodology (BCRM), including the Best’s Capital Adequacy Ratio (BCAR), important considerations in A.M. Best’s rating analysis and assessment of a company’s capitalization. Ms. Steffanelli and Mr. Adams will discuss planned changes and the anticipated impact on preneed writers. They will also provide an overview of the rating process.
