A.M. Best will speak at the 2017 Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) Annual Meeting, Nov. 5-8, 2017, at the Hilton Anaheim in California.
Chief Rating Officer Stefan Holzberger and Managing Director – Criteria, Research and Analytics James Gillard will be presenting a session, titled, “What Does the Updated A.M. Best Rating System Mean for the Insurance Industry?” on Nov. 7 at 1:15 p.m. (PST). This session will examine the recent update to Best’s Credit Rating Methodology (BCRM), as well as the credit fundamentals of the U.S. property/casualty sector, identify the critical rating drivers and highlight the impact of the new BCRM on Financial Strength Ratings.
Senior Financial Analyst David Blades will also be speaking during the session, titled, “Rising Auto Insurance Costs: What and Why,” earlier the same day, at 10:00 a.m. (PST). This session will deal with new automobile technology and how the changes to the industry are affecting the insurance market.
