Best's Review editors will host a webinar titled "Inside Today's Surplus Lines Market" on Wednesday, September 2, at 2 p.m. (EDT). A panel of industry leaders in the surplus lines sector of the U.S. insurance market will review the market and highlights of a new report on that sector.

Since 1994, the Derek Hughes/NAPSLO Educational Foundation has provided a grant to A.M. Best to produce a detailed report on the excess and surplus lines insurance sector. The report updates the relative positions of carriers in the market and examines regulatory developments, distribution, solvency, availability and coverage. The surplus lines market provides coverage for risks that the standard insurance market is unwilling or unable to insure.
