OLDWICK - OCTOBER 20, 2014 03:04 PM (EDT)
This A.M.BestTV episode examines how insurers are responding to the globalization of commerce by designing new products and services that respond to the risks of health and security for far-flung business travelers.

James Scott, vice president at AIG Benefit Solutions, knows that companies are looking at international markets to grow their business; however, he said with this growth comes challenges. "It is just good common sense for companies to access from a risk perspective what is the environment that the employee is going to encounter when he or she travels overseas," said Scott.

Robert Cavaliere, chief product officer at Allianz Global Assistance, said that the two major problems companies really need to be aware of are health and security. "In the event that an employee has a medical emergency, companies need to know what is the health care environment of that particular country, as well as the social, political and economic environments in the event a security issue arises," said Cavaliere.
