A.M. Best and Best’s Recommended Insurance Attorneys and Adjusters have released the latest installment of its Insurance Law Podcast, a series that examines timely insurance issues from an attorney’s point of view.

This episode features Attorney Terry Lavy from the law firm of Vernis & Bowling, with offices in several states throughout the southeast, including Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi. Mr. Lavy is a board certified specialist in construction law and works in southwest and central Florida. Construction litigation is one of his primary areas of practice.

The podcast discusses construction defect litigation, which relates to damage caused by defects in design, workmanship, materials or systems used on a project that results in failure. The podcast looks at the complexities involved in this type of litigation, including indemnification issues and reviews some active cases that involve insurance carriers.
