A.M. Best Withdraws Credit Ratings of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company of Ohio

Oldwick //BestWire// - A.M. Best has withdrawn the Financial Strength Rating of A+ (Superior) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “aa-” of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company of Ohio (FFOH) (Columbus, OH).
FFOH, previously a subsidiary of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company and ultimately of Allianz SE, was sold as a clean shell to United Specialty Insurance Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of State National Insurance Company, Inc. on Jan. 1, 2017. The sale has resulted in A.M. Best withdrawing the Credit Ratings (ratings).
