A.M. Best will participate in the Risk and Insurance Management Society’s (RIMS) Annual Conference & Exhibition at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, from April 15-18, 2018, in San Antonio, TX.
James Gillard, managing director, credit rating criteria, research and analytics, will present a session titled, “Risk Management and the Financial Strength Ratings Process for Insurers,” on Monday, April 16, at 12:10 p.m. (CDT). The presentation will include an overview of Best’s Credit Rating Methodology, the building block approach, enterprise risk management (ERM) in the rating process and a comparison with the NAIC’s Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA).
