A.M. Best Chief Rating Officer Stefan Holzberger will speak at the Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies’ (PAMIC) 109th Mid-Atlantic Mutual Advantage Convention, taking place August 7–9 at the Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, VA. Mr. Holzberger will speak on Monday, August 8, at 11:00 a.m. (DST), in a session, titled, “Managing Through A.M. Best’s Changing Rating Environment.”
At the session, Mr. Holzberger will provide an overview of planned changes to Best’s Capital Adequacy Ratio (BCAR) and the impact the changes will have on mutual insurance companies. The session will offer a discussion that presents A.M. Best’s views on the tail risk for mutual companies and suggests how A.M. Best factors the mutual structure into a rating.
