A.M. Best and Best’s Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys has released the latest installment of its Insurance Law Podcast, a series that examines timely insurance issues from an attorney’s point of view.

This episode features George Hall, attorney and partner at the law firm of Hull Barrett, PC in Augusta, GA. Mr. Hall’s trial practice concentrates on personal injury defense and commercial matters. He has tried over 110 cases and has served as a mediator and arbitrator in over 225 cases. Mr. Hall is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and serves on the board of directors for the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association. The podcast addresses premises liability cases and spoliation claims.

Mr. Hall defines spoliation claims and explains how this type of claim appears in premises liability cases. He suggests how spoliation claims can be avoided and discusses sanctions for them. He recommends how a person might deal with law enforcement if he/she is attacked on an insured’s property, and proposes a course of action for insureds who want to repair or renovate property after someone is injured on it. Mr. Hall also explains how an insurance carrier is potentially impacted.
