ALAN S. GOLDBERGER. A nationally recognized authority on sports law and sports officiating, Alan Goldberger is frequently retained by insurance carriers and claims administrators to defend sports officials, coaches, camps, officials' associations and other sports industry insureds. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Maryland.

Alan has obtained significant results for clients in business and commercial cases, as well as sports related cases. He has prosecuted and defended numerous contract claims, chancery matters, partnership and corporate disputes, private and nonprofit association hearings, business torts, tax court matters, employment related claims, Law Against Discrimination claims, and other commercial matters in litigation, administrative, and ADR forums. Alan Goldberger is the author of Sports Officiating: A Legal Guide, the recognized legal authority for game officials; and co-author of Sport, Physical Activity and the Law, a college textbook now in its 3rd Edition. He has written numerous articles that have appeared in legal and athletic publications nationwide, including Referee Magazine and the National Federation Officials' Quarterly. He has been a featured speaker at numerous national conferences, including the National Association of Sports Officials, the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials, Inc., the American Bar Association, the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association, the National Parks and Recreation Association, the Medical Society of New Jersey, the New Jersey Council of Administrators of Health and Physical Education, the Athletic Trainers Society of New Jersey, Inc., the National Police Athletic League; and many state and local high school athletic associations, colleges, universities, and school districts.

KENNETH L. MOSKOWITZ. Kenneth L. Moskowitz is a litigator with extensive experience in a broad range of civil and criminal matters. Before joining Brown Moskowitz & Kallen, Mr. Moskowitz served as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the Rockland County District Attorney. In that capacity he prosecuted white-collar criminal and consumer fraud cases, and went on to serve as the County’s chief narcotics prosecutor. Between 1989 and 1997, Mr. Moskowitz practiced at Sills, Cummis, Radin, Tischman, Epstein & Gross, one of New Jersey’s premier law firms. While at Sills Cummis, Mr. Moskowitz handled diverse matters ranging from complex corporate and commercial disputes to insurance defense and coverage matters. Between 1997 and 1999, Mr. Moskowitz served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for a publicly traded specialty contractor. Mr. Moskowitz represented the company in varied litigation, administrative and regulatory matters, and he was also responsible for various aspects of project development. Currently, Mr. Moskowitz represents clients in a wide range of business, construction, employment and insurance coverage litigation matters. Mr. Moskowitz earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1985 from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, where he also served as a Senior Editor of the Law Review. Mr. Moskowitz is a 1982 magna cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Albany.
